HELP BUILD A MOSQUE AND ACCOMPLISH FOR THE MUSLIMS COMMUNITY

Ssekanyonyi Islamic Orphanage was founded with a deep sense of responsibility toward orphans, vulnerable children, and the Muslim community who struggle daily without adequate support, guidance, and a proper place of worship. Inspired by the mercy of Islam, our mission is to restore hope, strengthen faith, and build a future rooted in dignity and compassion.

At the center of our dream is the construction of a mosque a sacred place where hearts can find peace, children can learn the Qur’an, and the Muslim community can unite in worship. For many Muslims in Ssekanyonyi, the absence of a proper mosque has made it difficult to pray together, educate the youth, and preserve Islamic values. This project is a lifeline for the community.

For the orphans under our care, the mosque will be more than a building. It will be a home of faith, where they grow with the remembrance of Allah, receive Islamic education, and feel a sense of belonging and protection. It will shape their character, strengthen their iman, and guide them toward a hopeful future.

Through this mosque, Ssekanyonyi Islamic Orphanage seeks to:

  • Establish a dignified place for daily prayers, Jumu’ah, and Eid

  • Provide Qur’an education and Islamic teachings for children and adults

  • Support orphans with spiritual care and moral guidance

  • Unite the Muslim community in brotherhood, peace, and mutual support

Supporting this mission is an opportunity to take part in ongoing charity (sadaqah jariyah). Every prayer offered, every verse of Qur’an recited, and every child guided toward righteousness will continue to benefit those who helped make this mosque a reality.

“Whoever builds a mosque for the sake of Allah, Allah will build for him a house in Jannah.”

Ssekanyonyi Islamic Orphanage humbly calls upon compassionate hearts to stand with us, help build this mosque, and transform the lives of orphans and Muslims for generations to come.
