Ssekanyonyi Islamic Orphanage Ramadan Iftar Project
As the sun sets each evening in Ramadan, orphaned children and struggling Muslim families in the Ssekanyonyi community wait patiently for a meal to break their fast. For many, this iftar is not just food, it is relief, mercy, and a reminder that they are not forgotten.
Throughout this blessed month, Ssekanyonyi Islamic Orphanage is committed to providing daily iftar meals for orphans and fasting Muslims in the community, ensuring warmth, nourishment, and dignity at the time of breaking the fast.
Allah reminds us in the Qur’an:
“And they give food, in spite of love for it, to the needy, the orphan, and the captive.”
(Qur’an 76:8)
And the Prophet Muhammad said:
“Whoever feeds a fasting person will have a reward like that of the fasting person, without reducing his reward in the slightest.”
(Tirmidhi)
By supporting this Ramadan project, you are sharing in the reward of feeding a fasting soul, easing hardship, and spreading mercy during the holiest month of the year. Every donation helps place food on the table and smiles on faces at iftar time.
Give for the sake of Allah. Feed an orphan. Share the blessings of Ramadan.
